Our winemakers

Our books are, by nature, rooted in the fertile terroir of biodynamic viticulture, historic viticulture and the finest craftsmanship. This terroir is cultivated by unforgettable, committed people, whose words deeply nourish our books, which bear witness to their ethos and their style. Olivier Humbrecht, Lalou Bize-Leroy, Jean-Louis Chave, Sandrine Dovergne and Aubert de Villaine, for example, have opened the doors to their estates, their thoughts, their sensibilities and their memories, allowing us to craft books that honour the scale of their commitment and passion.

These books are the result of months – sometimes years – of work, cemented by extensive conversations with our winemakers, with whom we work very closely and who are, in some cases, the authors whose work we publish. We want our books to be as faithful as possible to their work and the beauty of their wines. Rather than simply gathering testimonials, we seek to anchor their words over time, to move beyond that superficial approach to vines, wine and above all biodynamics – an approach that gives rise to countless approximations and assertions that are as slanderous as they are ill-informed. We listen to those who work biodynamically on a daily basis, and who have been committed to it for years, gifting the world their hand-made wines imbued with great culture.
